To resume the work of the courts: Zelensky want to make a presentation on the number of judges

KIEV. April 27. UNN. The high Council of justice began its consideration of materials about introduction of the President of Ukraine submissions on appointment of 20 candidates for the positions of judges of local General courts. It is reported by UNN with reference to the High Council of justice.

“April 27, 2020, the High Council of justice began its consideration of materials about introduction of the President of Ukraine submissions on appointment of candidates to positions of judges of local General courts. Candidates for the position of judges take part in the Council meeting in mode of videoconference”, – stated in the message.

The decision was taken to prevent the spread of acute respiratory diseases COVID-19 caused by the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2.

“The high Council of justice plans to consider in General the 467 recommendations of candidates for judges of the of selections 2012, 2013, 2017, claiming the vacant posts of judges in local General courts”, – added in the message.

It is noted that in the draft agenda of each meeting of the High Council of justice, which will be held from 27 to 29 April 2020, introduced by the question of consideration of materials of 20 candidates for the positions of judges, that is, within three days of the scheduled consideration of the recommendations regarding General 60 candidates.

By results of consideration of the recommendations of the High Council of justice will submit to the President of Ukraine 20 views on the appointment of candidates to positions of judges of local General courts, eight of which – in respect of candidates for positions of judges in courts, which to date do not do justice due to the lack of judges in the state court or the absence of the judges of the authority to administer justice, indicated in the GSP.

In particular, after the appointment of the candidates for the post of judge, as stated, will resume its work Trostyanetsky district court of Vinnytsia region, Volodarsk-Volynskiy district court of Zhytomyr region, zhidachivskiy district court of Lviv region, reshetilovsky district court of Poltava region, Radivilovsky district court of Rivne region, Yaremche city court of Ivano-Frankivsk region orativs’kyi district court in Vinnytsia region and in the district court of Lviv region.

We will remind, the High Council of justice appealed to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine with a proposal to refrain from introducing amendments to the law on the State budget of Ukraine in terms of reduction of judicial remuneration.
