The divers found in Chesapeake Bay, the body of eight-year-old great-grandson of U.S. Senator Robert Kennedy Gideon McKean, missing on April 2 along with her mother, granddaughter Kennedy Maeve Kennedy Townsend McKeen. Her body was found three days earlier. As reported by CNN, citing the police, the boy’s body was found at a depth of about 7.5 meters and about 600 meters from the place of discovery of the body of the mother.

The family lived in quarantine at home mother Maeve Kathleen Kennedy, the former Governor of Maryland. The next day, after 26-hour search, the police decided to stop the operation and to recognize the mother and son dead. On April 6 the body of Maeve was discovered off the coast of the Chesapeake Bay. She was 40 years old, she left two children – seven-year-old Gabriella and two year old Toby.

Misfortune makes us once again think about the so-called Kennedy curse that haunts the family with the 40-ies of the last century. More than two dozen family members seriously injured or killed as a result of various tragic events. Here are just a few: the 35th US President John F. Kennedy and his brother Robert were killed in the attacks, one of Robert’s son David died from a drug overdose, the second, Michael Lemoine, was killed while skiing. His third son was in a car accident.

Son of John Kennedy along with his wife and her sister died in a plane crash. Two other President’s children died in infancy. In 2019, the granddaughter of Robert Kennedy Riesen saoirse Kennedy hill died from an overdose of methadone at the age of 22 years.
