The YouTube has blocked the show on the channel “NTV” video message to Russian President Vladimir Putin to the Russians.

This move angered Russian authorities and emergency response: Roskomnadzor demanded from Google to explain the lock and accused the company of censorship in relation to the Russian President.

This is stated on the website of the Russian TV channel “NTV”.

Moreover, Roskomnadzor said that the decision to block the display of the video message of Putin contradicts Russian Constitution.

“Google management sent a request with the requirement to explain the reasons for its removal from the YouTube channel of the TV company “NTV” address of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin to the citizens in pandemic coronavirus. At the request of Roskomnadzor specified that the video violated part 5, article 29 of the Constitution of the Russian Federation on the prohibition of the Russian censorship”, – stated in the message of the Russian authorities.

Later, Google made a statement that really blocked the video message of Putin to the Russians in connection with the coronavirus. The company noted that this was the result of an error and subsequently access to the video was restored.

The head of the Kremlin Vladimir Putin has explicitly stated that the deterioration of the situation in Russia with the coronavirus.
