Greece and Ukraine discussed the possibility to resume air services from 1 July

KIEV. June 16. UNN. Deputy Minister of foreign Affairs of Ukraine Yegor Bozhok, during a meeting with the Ambassador of Greece in Ukraine, Vasilios Bornovas discussed the possibility of restoring direct flights between the countries, roughly from 1 July. This reports the press service of the foreign Ministry of Ukraine, reports UNN.

“The two sides also focused on the discussion of the possibility of direct flights between the two countries, roughly from 1 July 2020”, — said the press service.

It is noted that in the conversation the sides also discussed practical steps to restore full bilateral relations in the political sphere.

The Deputy Minister expressed gratitude for Greece’s support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine. The Greek Ambassador assured that his country would continue to support Ukraine in restoring its sovereignty and territorial integrity and to condemn the aggressive policy of the Russian Federation against our state.

God expressed hope for fruitful cooperation with Greece within the Council of Europe during the Greek presidency in the COE Committee of Ministers and expressed gratitude for Greece’s support of Ukraine’s participation in the Program enhanced NATO’s capabilities.

The sides discussed the important role played by the Greek community in Ukraine and Ukrainian society in Greece in the process of development of relations between the two countries.

Special attention was paid to expansion of bilateral cooperation in educational and cultural spheres. The Greek Ambassador praised the incentive policy of the Ukrainian side in the study of modern Greek language in educational institutions of Ukraine. He also said that Greece will continue to invite Ukrainian students to study the language in higher education institutions of Greece.

Recall, June 15, Ukraine had resumed international flights from the States, who opened the airport for the flight from Ukraine.
