Zelensky presented a plan for fire safety in the Chernobyl zone

KIEV. April 26. UNN. The President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky has informed about the plans of fire safety in the Chernobyl zone from the head of the State Agency of Ukraine on exclusion zone management Sergey Kalashnik. It is reported by UNN citing the press service of the President’s Office.

“During his working trip to Kyiv region President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky visited logistic item where you placed the forces involved in extinguishing the fire in the Chernobyl exclusion zone. The head of state inspected the fire equipment and asked about the conditions of work of rescuers. Vladimir Zelensky talked with the firefighters and thanked them. He noted the importance of providing personnel with proper nutrition. Firefighters reported they were satisfied with the food,” – stated in the message.

Stated that Vladimir Zelensky talked with Sergey Kalashnik. The official briefed the President on measures to prevent fires in the area.

“The main thing we can do is early detection of fires involving imagers. Bringing in the drones, and constantly hold shift to faster react to it. Must be placed equipment, should be procured water. The forest needs to be addressed, to remove clutter, to make fire breaks,” – said Sergey Kalashnik.

Stated that he told about the development of the tourism potential of the exclusion Zone and stressed that they will focus on plans for the creation of attractive international image of the object. The head of the state Agency noted that to attract tourists after the quarantine in the Chernobyl zone is necessary to improve the infrastructure.

“The President invited the head of the Chernobyl exclusion zone to submit a plan of development of the territory”, – reported in a press-service.
