“The state border service of Ukraine effectively prevents smuggling activities on the border. So, yesterday, border guards of Kharkiv detachment stopped the attempt of illegal cross-border movement of the party of tobacco products. Information about possible illegal cross-border movement of goods of national consumption operational staff have received in advance. During its implementation at the Bank of the river Oskol border patrol found a rubber boat loaded 26 boxes wrapped with black tape. She was not far from the border near the village of poplars that Dvurechnoe area. After inspecting the boxes, the guards found them 13 thousand packs of tobacco products with Russian excise stamps that have been illegally moved through border”, – is spoken in the message.
It is indicated that in the course of further search operations near the site of the discovery of the goods, the police found the car brand Toyota, which probably belongs to the owner of the boat with tobacco.
“Now the goods and the boat were taken to the border units in the future will give staff of the competent law enforcement agencies. The preliminary sum of an assessment of tobacco products amounts to about 300 thousand hryvnia. Events for search of the owner and other persons concerned continue,” – said the press service.
