Rada recommends to adopt the bill on settlement of debt in the electricity market
KIEV. June 17. UNN. The Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on issues of economic development recommended that the Parliament adopt in the second reading and in General bill No. 2390 on amendments to the Code of Ukraine of procedures of bankruptcy in relation to measures aimed at repayment of debt on the wholesale electricity market, the correspondent of UNN.
As noted in the explanatory Memorandum to the bill, its aim is Creating state conditions for transition to the new competitive models of electricity market in Ukraine in the term determined by the law of Ukraine “On electricity market” by ensuring timely implementation of all the mechanisms of debt repayment to full repayment of debt on the wholesale electricity market, as well as providing conditions for permanent settlements in the new market of electric energy.
It was noted that the bill complements the already adopted draft law №2386
We will remind that today, June 17, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted in whole draft law № 2386 measures on repayment of arrears on the wholesale electricity market. The decision was supported by 243 MPs.
In turn, on may 20, BP has supported a bill on repayment of debt on the electricity market at first reading.
