In Vinnytsia region officials suspect the purchase of technical salt at an inflated price on 4,8 million UAH
KIEV. April 24. UNN. It is reported about suspicion to the officials of the city Council of Vinnytsia region, who purchased technical salt at an inflated price, so overpaid from the city budget of 4.8 million UAH. It is reported by UNN citing the press service of the Prosecutor’s office of Vinnytsia region.
“Thanks to the coordinated actions of the Prosecutor’s office of Vinnytsia region and USBU in Vinnitsa region exposed another scheme of embezzlement of budget funds intended for the purchase for the needs of the city’s industrial salt for sprinkling roads during icy conditions. Officials of one of city councils of the region, abusing his official position, on preliminary arrangement with the founders of the so-called companies “pads” at the end of 2019, carried out the purchase of almost 5 thousand tons of technical salt, inflating its value by 4.8 million hryvnias”, — is spoken in the message.
It is noted that it is reported about suspicion, three employees of the city Council and the Director of private enterprise in the Commission of a criminal offense under part 2 St. 364 criminal code of Ukraine. The issue of election in the last measures of detention and dismissal from their posts.
We will remind, the Director of the Department of Uzhgorod city Council reported the suspected embezzlement of nearly 470 thousand UAH, allocated for the repair of Postal square in Uzhgorod.
