In Ukraine since the beginning of the year to more than 8% decrease in the production of electricity

KIEV. May 12. UNN. In Ukraine for 4 months this year the volume of electricity production decreased by 8.1% compared to the same period last year and amounted to 51536,0 million kWh. It is reported by UNN , citing data from the Department of energy and environmental protection.

“For 4 months in 2020, the volume of electricity production by power plants in Ukraine in General amounted to 51 536,0 million kWh, which is 4 515,7 million kWh, or 8.1% less, than 4 months of 2019”, — stated in the message.

It is noted that in this case, TES GK made 11 241,9 million kWh, which is 4 406,9 million kWh, or by 28.2% less than 4 months of 2019. CHP and co-generation plants produced 5 277,8 mln kWh, which is 13.5 million kWh, or 0.3% less than in the corresponding period last year.

Nuclear power plants produced 28 889,1 million kWh. Compared with the corresponding period last year, nuclear power plants reduced electricity production by 1 395,8 million kWh, or 4.6%.

Hydraulic power plants for 4 months in 2020 was made 2 280.0 million kWh, which is 709,2 mln kWh, or 23.7% less than 4 months of 2019.

It is reported that the production of electricity producers that are located on the territory of the licensed activity of distribution system operator for 4 months in 2020 amounted to 611,2 million kWh, down by 85.8 million kWh, or 16.3% more than in the corresponding period last year.

In addition, electricity production from alternative sources (WEC, SES, biomass) for 4 months in 2020 amounted to 3 236,0 million kWh, which is 1 923,9 million kWh, or by 146,6% more than in the corresponding period last year.

“A major share of the total generation for 4 months in 2020 is the development of AES — 56,1%, TPP and TPP — 32.1% and electricity generation of HPPs and PSPs 4.4 per cent. For 4 months of 2019, the share of output of NPPs, TPPs and HPPs and PSPs, respectively, accounted for 54.0% of 37.4% and 5.3%”, – added in the message.

So, for 4 months in 2020 the export of electricity is 2 kWh, of 450.1 million, which is 320,6 million kWh, or 15.1% more than 4 months of 2019.

“For 4 months in 2020, a decrease of electricity consumption (gross weight) which totaled 50 810,3 million kWh, which is 3 121,3 mln kWh, or 5.8% less than in the corresponding period last year. The electricity sales decreased compared to the corresponding period last year by 2 166,0 mln kWh, or 5.0% to $ 40 769,4 million kWh at 42 935,4 million kWh in 4 months of 2019”, – summed up in the message.

Recall that the volume of industrial production in March 2020, compared to the same month last year decreased by 7.7%, but adjusted for the effect of calendar days by 8.6%.
