The Czech social Democrats, who are in coalition with the ANO party of Prime Minister Andrew Babish, consider the option of replacing the head of the government amid a scandal with the alleged kidnapping of the son of the Prime Minister and his removal in the Crimea because of the corruption investigation.

As reported by “European true” with reference to Novinky.cz, on Wednesday, the social Democrats will hold a meeting with the ANO party and the Prime Minister, to hear from him clarification on these charges.

According to media reports, the social Democrats consider the option of a Slovak model, when the Prime Minister voluntarily resign and to replace him by another representative of the ANO. Thus after the departure of Babish his successor with the ANO will form a new Cabinet on the same basis as today.

The same happened in Slovakia after the murder of journalist Ian Kusaka, when the Prime Minister and party leader Robert fico was replaced by his party colleague Peter Pellegrini.

If in ANO does not agree to the plan of the social Democrats, the latter does not exclude possibility of dissolution of Parliament, leading to early elections.

As you know, the son of Czech Prime Minister Andrew Babish Jr. in an interview with reporters, said that last year the father ordered to take by force to take him out to the Crimea in connection with the corruption case surrounding the “stork Nest”.

Babish Jr. called his stay in Ukraine as “kidnapping” in an email sent last year the Czech police. Police confirmed on Tuesday that it was investigating the information to the media and assess its truthfulness.

Babish Jr. with his father and several other family members appear in the so-called “Nest of the stork” of fraud with EU funds. In 2008, the family of Babish bought the old mansion, which was converted into a luxury conference centre “stork’s Nest”.

The amount of reconstruction was estimated at 350 million euros, of which 50 million amounted to EU grant to support small business. The Prime Minister of the Czech Republic distanced itself from the scandal and said that “stork’s Nest” belongs to his children.
