Pre-trial investigation on the fact of unreasonable receiving a people’s Deputy of Ukraine of VII and VIII convocations Ruslan Salvarom more than 361 thousand UAH of compensation of the cost of hiring rooms in the hotel “Kiev” is completed. 11 Feb 2020 NABOO detectives and prosecutors SAP opened exatape the defendants of criminal proceedings for an introduction before sending the indictment to the Higher anti-corruption court, reports UNN citing the press service of the National anti-corruption Bureau.
According to the investigation, in November 2014, the ex-MP to have received paid for by the state budget room at the hotel “Kiev”, because they do not have their own housing in the capital. However, as found by detectives, despite the fact that at the beginning of March 2017, the suspect had inherited an apartment in Kiev, he was not informed about this fact the Management of the Affairs of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. This allowed him to continue to receive compensation payments from the state budget.
Only in October 2018 after a series of publications in the media, the MP refused to receive the funds. During those six years, as has established a consequence, the ex-MP had wrongly to more than 361 thousand UAH of compensation for rental housing.
The investigation of the relevant facts NABU and SAP began in October 2018, according to media reports. 18 Dec 2019 Deputy of Ukraine of VII and VIII convocations reported about suspicion. The NEB several episodes of similar abuses of people’s deputies of the previous convocation.
The actions of the former MP are qualified under part 2 St. 364 Criminal code of Ukraine (Abuse of power or official position).
