Law enforcement agencies of Ukraine are preparing to Institute criminal proceedings against the former acting Minister of health of the country Ulyana Suprun. It is reported by the American analytical portal of the Atlantic Council, reports Диалог.UA.
As noted by us analysts, Suprun want to prosecute for the following reasons: the former official and her husband Mark still remained passports of citizens of the United States of America what is directly stated in the text. In addition, the address Suprun was often criticized as the failure of health reform and the collapse of the Ukrainian health system.
“We have confirmed information, that can be initiated criminal proceedings against Ulany Suprun, who, being at the head of the Ministry of health of Ukraine, tried to reform the already fragile health system of the country. Any attempt of persecution of Suprun and her husband, US citizens, would have caused surprise in Washington and Europe,” – said in a statement.
Thus, the debate in the Ukrainian society regarding Suprun won’t stop. Interestingly, the official family Suprun renounced U.S. citizenship in 2015. It was one of the conditions for entry into the citizenship of Ukraine and obtaining high public office.
