A number of American States imposed a curfew because of the protests caused by the death of an African American during the arrest in Minneapolis, reports “Interfax” referring ssylki the Associated Press. Such measures are already in place in Minneapolis, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Atlanta.
Protesters face police, burning cars and robbing stores. Some police were injured. The authorities of six States mobilized the national guard. The Pentagon announced the alert, a number of military units that can be deployed to restore order.
“We want everyone to be safe. So, starting tonight, for the entire city of Denver introduced a curfew from 20:00 to 05:00 to Monday, 1 June,” tweeted the mayor of Denver Michael Hancock.
Texas Governor Greg Abbott was sent to city staff about 1,5 thousand military, to prevent vandalism during protests in Houston before he was arrested 200 people who blocked the highway.
The US President Donald trump said that his administration will stop the riots with violence, and will not allow anarchy.
Riots and protests began in the United States after the 46-year-old African-American George Floyd was detained by police on may 25 in Minneapolis. During the arrest one of the officers pressed my neck Floyd knee.
The video, posted online, shows that one of the officers pushed him with his knee on his neck, in spite of the cries of the detainee that he found it difficult to breathe. Floyd later died in hospital.
