Showman and producer Vladimir Zelensky explained his decision to run for President of Ukraine.
In his address he noted that now in our country a situation where every Ukrainian there are three ways to swim upstream, to go to another country or try to change something. Zelensky said that chooses a third way.

“Now in such a situation, when every Ukrainian there are three ways: the first way to live, how to live, to go with the flow. And that’s fine, it – every. Second: gather your things and leave to another country to earn money there and send their friends and family. And that’s okay too. But there is a third way: to try to change something in Ukraine. And I chose it,” he said.
“Dear Ukrainians, I promise you to go to the presidency and immediately fulfilling. I am running for President of Ukraine. Let’s do it together. Happy New year, happy new servant of the people,” said Zelensky.
