KIEV. 15 Dec. UNN. Metropolitan Epiphany today on the Unification Council, was elected Primate of the Autocephalous Local Orthodox Church of Ukraine, reports UNN.
Metropolitan Epiphanius in the world Dumenko Sergey Petrovich.
He was born February 3, 1979, Volkovo village, Ivanovo district, Odessa region – doctor of theology, Professor, the Patriarchal vicar, Metropolitan of bila Tserkva and Pereyaslav Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Kyiv Patriarchate, rector and Professor of biblical and philological disciplines of the Kyiv Orthodox theological Academy, a permanent member of the Holy Synod and Chairman of the Synodal Department for religious education of the UOC-KP, member of the Supreme Church Council of UOC-KP, vicar of St. Michael’s vydubytskyi monastery in Kyiv, member of the National Union of journalists of Ukraine and the International Federation of journalists.

From 1 July 2003 to 31 December 2005 held the position of administrative assistant Rivne eparchy administration and personal Secretary to Metropolitan of Rivne and Ostroh Daniel. From 26 August 2003 to 31 December 2005 – lecturer at the Rivne spiritual Seminary, and has also held the position of senior assistant inspector.
2005 – held the position of press-Secretary of the Rivne eparchy management.
With the blessing of Patriarch Filaret on 21 December 2007 became Archbishop of Pereiaslav-Khmelnytsky Dimitry in St. Michael’s monastery postrizhen in a monkhood with a name of the Epiphany in honor of St. Epiphanios of Cyprus.
January 6, 2008 in St. Vladimir’s Cathedral-the Patriarchal Cathedral of the city of Kiev Patriarch Filaret ordained a Hierodeacon, and on the 20th of January 2008 in the priesthood.

25 January 2008 by the decree he was appointed Secretary of the Patriarch of Kyiv and all Rus-Ukraine Filaret.
March 16, 2008 the Sunday of Orthodoxy divine Liturgy in the Vladimir Cathedral of the Patriarchal Cathedral by his Holiness Patriarch of Kyiv and all Rus-Ukraine was elevated to the rank of Archimandrite.
March 20, 2008 appointed vicar of St. Michael’s vydubytskyi monastery in Kiev.

The decision of the Council of bishops of the UOC-KP on 28 June 2013, was elevated to the rank of Metropolitan of Pereyaslav-Khmelnytsky and bila Tserkva is designed and vicar of the rights of the diocesan Bishop.
The decision of the Holy Synod of the UOC-KP from 13 December 2017 (the Journal of the meeting No. 38) has the title of Metropolitan of bila Tserkva and Pereyaslav.

M. P. Drahomanov and the “Ukrainian people’s Embassy”.
