The General Assembly of the United Nations at 22:00 will consider a draft resolution on “the Problem of the militarization of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol (Ukraine), as well as parts of the Black and Azov seas”.

It is reported by the permanent mission of Ukraine to the UN in the microblog Twitter.

“Today, the UN General Assembly will consider the draft resolution on “the Problem of the militarization of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol (Ukraine), as well as parts of the Black and Azov seas” which was initiated by Ukraine. Beginning at 22:00 hours”, – stated in the message.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the permanent representative of Ukraine to the United Nations Volodymyr Yelchenko said that the main goal of this resolution will be to “urge the Russian Federation to withdraw its military forces from Crimea, to end its illegal occupation of Ukrainian territory”.

However, the resolution will be encouraged Russia to “stop harassing commercial vessels as well as restrict international navigation in the Black sea and the Azov sea”.

The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said that 41 countries have agreed to be co-sponsors of the resolution.

The UN General Assembly in December of this year to consider and approve two separate resolutions on human rights violations in Crimea and the militarization of the Black and Azov seas.
