KIEV. April 12. UNN. The Ukrainian team won a gold and a silver medal at the International Olympiad on ecology in Kenya. It is reported by UNN citing the press service of the Ministry of education and science of Ukraine.
Ukrainian team was represented by Valentin Frecka, a student of 11th class Sokyrnytsky secondary schools of Transcarpathia, and Vyacheslav Antsibor, pupil of 11 grade of Polytechnic Lyceum NTU “KPI” in Kiev.
Frecka received “gold” for the project “Technology for manufacturing eco friendly paper from fallen leaves”.
“The wide application of the project will help to improve the pulp and paper industry, as well as give the possibility to recycle the fallen leaves with the least harm to the environment. To use this paper for eco-bags or for printing on the printer,” – said Valentin Frecka.
Entibor won a silver medal for the project “Use of alternative source of power and new systems of cooling for refrigerated semi-trailers”.
Recall that in the championship “Malmsten Swim Open Stockholm”, which ended in Sweden, Ukrainian athletes won two medals.
