Ukraine will be possible to weigh every step at the Belarus – Kuleba

Dmitry Kuleba

KIEV. 14 Aug. UNN. Ukraine will be possible to weigh the next step for Belarus, given the special nature of relations between the Ukrainian and the Belarusian people, and what will cause the weakening of Belarus from the point of view of the balance of forces in the Ukrainian region. This was stated by the foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba in an interview with “Ukrainian radio”, reports UNN.

The question of how it will work in Ukraine, if the Western partners will impose sanctions against Minsk, what to do about Ukraine and whether to risk relations with Belarus, Kuleba said, “I would suggest here to follow the principle of “let’s just worry about the problems in the course of their attack”. The fact that really the situation is very delicate, Belarus is more than a neighbor, a partner, a country with whose people we have many and the second point is a very serious reflection of foreign policy, of a military nature and we should clearly keep in mind the answer to the question, what will happen with Belarus, if the government of this state will be maximally weakened and will be at an impasse.”

Therefore, according to him, Ukraine is a very balanced approach to the assessment of events in Belarus.

Kuleba also recalled that the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, the statement of the foreign Ministers of the “Lublin triangle”.

“We have clearly defined their attitude to what is happening in Belarus now. But every next step we’ll do our best to weigh it given these two considerations, the special nature of relations between the Ukrainian and Belarusian people and our countries as a whole and what will cause the weakening of Belarus from the point of view of the balance of forces in our region” – said Kuleba.

As reported UNN, the foreign Ministers of Lithuania, Poland and Ukraine, included in the countries “of the EU triangle”, made a joint statement on the situation in Belarus and urged the authorities to refrain from using force and to release all those detained last night.

We will remind, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky after protests held in Belarus on the election day, called for “maximum open, albeit complex,” dialogue, which, in his opinion, “should be interested in both sides – the government and society, which is protesting”.

As it became known, Ukraine will react to the election results in Belarus after their official promulgation by the Central election Commission of this country.
