The Union of European football associations (UEFA) wants to use a system of identification of fans (ID Fan) in the European championship, which will take place in 2020.

“UEFA do have an interest in the identity system fans. After the 2018 world Cup all realize that this is not some artificial restriction for the sake of security. Fan ID is a big advantage for the fans,” — said “Izvestia” a UEFA member and CEO of the organizing Committee “Russia-2018” Alexey Sorokin.
He recalled that the ID Fan can be used as a means to free travel on public transport and visa-free entry into the country, and to use as a means of payment, for discounts at museums and partner restaurants.
“I think that the Russian design will be further developed”, — said Sorokin.
Recall that Fan ID, in addition to the 2018 world Cup, was used during the 2014 winter Olympics and the Confederations Cup 2017.
Earlier, former Chairman of the organizing Committee “Russia-2018” Arkady Dvorkovich said the 2018 one of the best in the history of the national team of Russia on football.
