3 June, two tropical cyclones in different parts of the world came ashore. On the West coast of India was struck by a tropical cyclone “Nisarga”. And in the Gulf of Mexico has reached the coast of Mexico tropical storm “Cristobal”, which was the earliest in the history of the third named storm of the season in the Atlantic.

And in the Gulf of Mexico tropical storm “Cristobal” reached the coast of Mexico and made landfall in the state of Campeche. It is 20 km to the West from Ciudad del Carmen and while moving in a southerly direction at a speed of 6 km/h, but soon unfold to the North. The wind speed is estimated at 95 km/h, Stormnews reports, citing the national center for U.S. monitoring hurricanes (NHC).

Heavy rains will be held in the Mexican States of Campeche, Chiapas, Quintana Roo, Tabasco, Yucatan, Veracruz and Oaxaca, as well as in Guatemala, El Salvador, Belize and Honduras.

According to the forecasts of meteorologists, “Cristobal” will be the Gulf of Mexico on 5 June. He will continue to move northward and on June 8 reaches the U.S. state of Louisiana.

Currently, the element is raging in Ciudad del Carmen, where the flooding started. Information on victims is specified.

Interesting is the fact that last week, “cristóbal” was Pacific tropical storm “Amanda”. On may 31 he struck Guatemala and El Salvador which was severely damaged by floods and landslides, and then, fainting, continued movement in the direction of Mexico and lost the characteristics of a tropical cyclone. Its remnants emerged into the Gulf of Mexico where it intensified to a tropical storm, which was given a new name.

And while heavy rains in Guatemala and El Salvador are continuing. For information on 3 June, in El Salvador, floods and landslides have killed at least 20 people, and another 6 were missing. In Guatemala from landslides affected dozens of residents.
