The suspect in the attack on the Odessa activist released from jail

KIEV. 23 Nov. UNN. One of the suspects in the assassination of the Odessa activist Aleh Mihajlica released under-house arrest, reports UNN citing “Radio Liberty”.

From prison was released, the invalid of the 1st group Tornike Gerasina (Deglaze), who served two months.

As the correspondent of the publication “Radio Liberty”, the decision was made by the judge of the Kiev district court Julia Feduleev when considering motions of prosecutors on the extension measure. Two other suspects Lasha Gerasina and Manuchar Varshanidze left custody the day before.

During the meeting it became known that criminal proceedings on the attack on Oleg Mihajlica was merged with another production on hooliganism with use of weapons in the summer of 2018.

“Most likely we are talking about the conflict with the public organization “Left coast” — about the involvement of the detained Georgians in this conflict is announced in the September immediately after their arrest. In particular the gun found at the apartment of one of them during a search, according to law enforcement use it is in June 2018. Tornike Gerasina also accused of manufacturing and use of counterfeit documents”, — stated in the message.

Gerasin himself, his relatives and his lawyer for two months, was constantly insisted on the impossibility of retaining a person with disabilities in conditions of Odessa remand prison. About it today declared the Consul of Georgia in Odessa of Tornike, Berekashvili. He was summoned to court as a witness.

As a reminder, the court extended the term of investigation on the assassination of Mihalycha.
