The SBU exposed the financial transactions of one of the heads of departmental sanatorium “Odessa”
KIEV. 14 Dec. UNN. During the RAID the staff of Department of internal security of security service of Ukraine jointly with the office Service in Odessa region under the procedural leadership of the military Prosecutor of the Odessa garrison of the southern region of Ukraine exposed the financial transactions of one of the leaders of the departmental sanatorium of the SBU “Odessa”, reports UNN , citing the press service of the SBU.
“In the framework of the initiated criminal proceedings by operatives of the intelligence service established that the Lieutenant Colonel systematically allocates the money paid for the rehabilitation of the so-called “commercial” clients of the sanatorium. The attacker had attracted clients through well-known travel company. Money from citizens were issued through the cashier of the resort, and were taken directly in the emergency Department, the client was given financial documents for the full cost of treatment. Then the officer at their discretion “determined” how much of this amount to be paid to the cashier of the medical institution. For legal reporting, prepared backup documentation”, — stated in the message.
Militiamen detained the malefactor after leaving the sanatorium, and I found a 125 thousand appropriated money. During the authorized investigative actions in the office were seized a “black accounting”.
“I don’t even know how to explain stealing money in a military position in a medical facility in which the rehabilitation of his colleagues, including the participants of the ATO. Investigators will bring this case to court, which I am sure will give a fair assessment of these shameful acts,” — said the Chairman of SBU Vasiliy Gritsak. According to him, the fight against corruption in the Service will continue till its complete eradication.
“Now, officials announced on suspicion of committing a crime under part 4 of article 410 of the Criminal code of Ukraine, the sanctions of which provide for 10 to 15 years of imprisonment.
