The Federal network Agency of Germany freed the pipeline “Nord stream” from the scope of the key provisions of the Gas Directive of the European Union. This was reported by the press service of the company-operator Nord Stream AG.
According to the regulator’s decision, the exemption from specific rules applied to the pipeline section on the territory of Germany, including the territorial sea.
It is noted that it is valid for 20 years, entering into force retrospectively from the date of adoption of the amendments to the energy Act — 12 Dec 2019.
Earlier it was reported that the European court of justice rejected the claims of the Nord Stream AG Nord Stream AG 2 against the proliferation of EU regulations on the pipelines from third countries.
