The Minister of economic development of Russia Maxim Reshetnikov said that subsidies for tour operators can contribute to the preservation of jobs in the industry.
“Subsidies partially compensate tour operators incurred losses and, hopefully, will help save jobs” — quoted by TASS Reshetnikova.
He noted that subsidies will help to support the liquidity of the tour operators.
According to him, many tour operators were forced to evacuate tourists from the closed countries at their own expense.
Earlier, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin has approved the rules of granting subsidies to the operators for reimbursement of expenses due to the coronavirus.
