The Metropolitan police and two ex-militiamen will judge for extortion money

KIEV. March 7. UNN. The Kyiv Prosecutor’s office sent to court indictment against officer of one of regional departments of the National police and two former police officers who organized the scheme of extortion of money. This was reported to UNN in the press service of capital prosecution.

During a pretrial investigation it was established that the militiaman and its accomplices, having received operational information about persons who use or distribute drugs and psychotropic substances, has set a tail on them. Not having a legitimate reason, they detained the citizens, and their homes searched. After that, the criminals made threats to the relatives of the detainees to give them money for not involvement of the last to criminal liability.

In General, under this scheme, during April – June last year, the attackers got more than 330 thousand UAH. To them threatens till seven years of imprisonment.

As previously reported, employees of internal security the National police in Volyn region together with SBU detained the three policemen-bribe takers.
