Polozov said the defence filed objections to the purpose of this examination, because prisoners are under the protection of the third Geneva Convention, and this examination is not required by the Convention and violates the rights of prisoners of war, exposing them to the degrading treatment of prisoners of war.

“Given that a result, despite the stated objections, intends to conduct this examination, protection declared the petition about the presence of lawyers during the examination for proper legal assistance to soldiers,” he added.

According to the lawyer, at the moment, outpatient psychological and psychiatric examination is appointed in respect of 21 prisoner of war, and the three prisoners of war sailors to familiarize with the regulations on the appointment of the examination will be held next week.
