Health Minister Maksym Stepanov said that the decision on mitigation or strengthening quarantine measures for people who are over 60 years old, in Kiev, was adopted by the regional Commission on questions tekhnogenno-ecological safety and emergency situations. He said this during a briefing, the correspondent of UNN.

“All aspects of adaptive quarantine and solutions for mitigating or (introduction – ed.) more serious measures, that is, transition, or return to another stage is made, respectively, by the regional Commission on questions tekhnogenno-ecological safety and emergency situations. It was specially transferred to the field level in terms of, again, adaptive quarantine, which we have adopted at the state level,” said Maxim Stepanov, answering the question, do you plan to update constraints in Kiev for people who are over 60 years of age for a period of quarantine in connection with the epidemic situation.

He noted that depending on the epidemiological situation, regional authorities take decisions about it.

“This applies to Kiev. So the question to the local authorities, in this case, to the city of Kiev. If you will allow the epidemiological situation – they will move on to the next phase, which involves, in particular, and mitigation, of which you said,” – said Maxim Stepanov.
