Today in Odessa a court case about a fire in the children’s municipal sports complex “Victoria” which in 2017 during a fire killed three women from the creative team of “Adele”, began to interrogate the officials of the Odessa city Council.
According to UNIAN, on Monday, November 12, Kyiv district court, in particular, has been questioned by the Director of the Department of education and science of the city Council Elena buynevich.
During the meeting she reported that the fire had learned from Zinaida Tsvirinko, which at the time was Deputy mayor and was in charge of Humanities.

In addition, buynevich denied information about the lack of teachers, than in previous meetings said the camp, about the problems with fire safety, she also did not know anything, as the relevant provisions of the SSES in the Department entrusted to her did not arrive. As UNIAN reported earlier, in Odessa late on the evening of 15 September 2017 on the territory of camp “Victoria” there was a fire which resulted in the deaths of three pupils of the creative team of “Adele”.
The police opened criminal proceedings under part 2 of article 270 (violation of established by legislation requirements of fire security), prosecution – 367 (office negligence) Criminal code of Ukraine.
In connection with the accident was arrested the Director of the complex Petros Sarkisyan and senior tutor Natalia Tsokur (Ancic), which duties were to be responsible for fire safety. On 24 April the court sentenced Tsokur to 3 years of imprisonment with a probation period of 2 years.
The defendant also is suspected of negligence, the former Vice-mayor of Odessa Zinaida Tsvirinko, the investigation which was completed on April 27. 3 October, she said in court that does not recognize his guilt.
In fact, also featured former head of the Kiev Department of GU gschs in the Odessa region and the inspector is suspected of negligence that caused grave consequences (part 2 of article 367 of the criminal code of Ukraine).
In may Prosecutor’s office said Sargsyan and his Deputy Tatyana Lannoy on suspicion of misappropriation of 120 thousand UAH of budgetary funds, and on June 18 in Kyiv district court of Odessa was sent to the indictment. In June, the Deputy Director of the camp reimbursed the city budget damages – more than 120 thousand UAH.
In early September, the Prosecutor’s office announced the suspected embezzlement of more than 400 thousand UAH of budgetary funds the head of the firm, which was engaged in reconstruction of the “Victoria”. In late October, the same Director of a private company was announced the suspicion in assignment of 1,7 million UAH of budget funds allocated for the reconstruction of Victoria.
