KIEV. 13 Nov. UNN. The police stopped the activities of ethnic interregional organized crime groups, which engaged in labour exploitation of people. 13 members of criminal group are detained. It is reported by UNN citing the press service of the National police of Ukraine.

During the searches, seized weapons, vehicles, among them Mercedes and BMW and a million hryvnia cash. The Head of national police Sergey Knyazev reported on 12 November.

According to the head of national police, the couple — a citizen of Georgia and a citizen of Ukraine at the age of 38 years — was organized by Odessa oblast agricultural enterprises. There are several free worked about hundred persons. They tricked lured to the work of the ad hoc recruiters.

Sergey Knyazev noted that pseudoregular were carried out mainly on the Railways. Were looking for vulnerable people, promised a job, a stable salary 450-500 USD per day, accommodation and meals. “The geography of search of the victims — 22 of the oblast and city Kyiv. For each delivered “slave” recruiters got 500 UAH. In the place of the victims were taken documents and telephone numbers, were forced to work in the field for 13 hours. Of course, payment was not the question. Defiance was beaten”, — stated in the message.

The Chairman of the national police added that in a special operation conducted by employees of Management on struggle against human trafficking of the police of Kiev together with the Department for combating human trafficking of the Channel under the procedural management of Prosecutor’s office of Kiev, police detained the attackers at the moment when they were put in the van of new victims. Two victims were taken to a hospital in Odessa, the rest are in Kiev, are physical.

Now 13 members of criminal group detained in order St. 208 criminal procedure code of Ukraine. Investigators initiated criminal proceedings under article 149 (human trafficking or other illegal agreement concerning transfer of the person) the Criminal code of Ukraine. The investigation is continuing.
