The Cabinet canceled the competitive selection for the position of member of the Supervisory Board of “Naftogaz”

KIEV. 15 Nov. UNN. The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine introduced amendments to government resolution No. 142 and No. 143 on March 10, 2017, under which overturned the holding of competitive selection of candidates for the position of independent member of the Supervisory Board of the NJSC “Naftogaz of Ukraine”, reports UNN , citing the press service of the Ministry of economic development.

“In its decision of 10 November 2017, the Government abolished the competitive selection of candidates for the position of independent member of the Supervisory Board of the NJSC “Naftogaz of Ukraine”. The government also ordered the economic development Ministry to submit for consideration of Cabinet of Ministers proposals on candidates for positions on the Supervisory Board as independent members, and representatives of the state”, — stated in the message.

According to the Ministry of economic development, while the function of the Supervisory Board shall be the government.

The Ministry noticed that their office prepare draft acts of the Cabinet of Ministers related to the management of state companies subordinated to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

“However, the subject of the initiative remains with the Cabinet of Ministers, which directs the Ministry of instructions for execution of decisions. The Ministry of economic development provides technical function for the preparation of draft normative legal acts for later inclusion in the prescribed manner to the Government”, — explained in the Ministry.

The same principle, added the Agency, will be applied to proposals for candidate members of the Supervisory Board of the NJSC “Naftogaz of Ukraine”. With a view to early resolution of the situation in terms of the heating season, the Ministry expects that the presentation of candidates will take place in the near future.

As reported UNN, the independent members of the “Naftogaz” has decided to resign .
