Sobchak: From the point of view of international law the Crimea is Ukrainian
Uncategorized October 24, 2017The presidential candidate of the Russian Federation, TV presenter Ksenia Sobchak has said that occupied Crimea is Ukrainian. He said this today at a press conference, according to Rain.
“Answer directly, what I think, I will not equivocate. From the point of view of international law, the Ukrainian Crimea. Point. Then let’s talk” – said Sobchak.
She also urged all to debate on this issue.
March 22, 2014 Sobchak in his Twitter called the annexation of Crimea to Russia “played a brilliant political operation.”
18 Oct Sobchak announced plans to run for President of the Russian Federation.
Russia has occupied the Autonomous Republic of Crimea in 2014 year. The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine officially declared on 20 February 2014 beginning of the temporary occupation of Crimea and Sevastopol by Russia. Key international organizations, including the UN General Assembly has condemned Russia’s actions and called the annexation and occupation of Crimea illegal. Against Russia were imposed economic sanctions. For the implementation by Moscow of the so-called elections with the participation of the Crimea in 2016-m to year the Parliament of Ukraine recognized the Russian state Duma is illegitimate.
