According to the report, law enforcement authorities established that the official had allegedly established a mechanism for receiving bribes from private entrepreneurs for unimpeded customs clearance of cargoes arriving to Ukraine through sea port.
According to the SBU, the corruption scheme the official has attracted employees of other divisions of customs and intermediaries.
“The operatives of the intelligence agencies documented two facts of transfer to the officer of illegal benefit in the amount of 1300 US dollars”, – stated in the message.
The secret service reported that he was detained in the office of the Manager, the employee of customs broker, and when receiving the next bribe in the amount of $1350.
