Prosecutors opened a case on the shooting by militants of the family in Luhansk region
KIEV. April 14. UNN. Premeditated murder of a family in Luhansk representatives of the armed forces of the occupying administration of the Russian Federation will be investigated as a violation of the laws or customs of war. It is reported by UNN with reference to the press service of Lugansk regional Prosecutor’s office.
Police investigators GUNP in the Lugansk region have conducted an investigation on the fact of intentional murder of four citizens of Ukraine members of the armed forces of the occupying administration of the Russian Federation in the Luhansk region.
According to the investigation, in August 2014, armed men entered the territory of a private household in the occupied village of Victory Lutugino district, Luhansk region, which was located near the runway of Luhansk airport. “The owner of the house along with his wife worked at the airport and helped the Ukrainian military: brought to the forefront products, water and medicines. Members of the armed forces of the Russian Federation brutally murdered with the couple and their son and daughter — in-law shot a firearm in their own yard. The house was looted of valuable property and the car is exported”, — said the press service.

“These criminal acts violate international humanitarian law, expressed in the brutal treatment of the civilian population, combined with the deliberate murder, which is directly prohibited by article 147 of the Geneva Convention relative to the protection of civilian persons in time of war, of 12 August 1949”, — noted in Prosecutor’s office.
The Prosecutor’s office initiated criminal proceedings. As reported in the press service, the maximum penalty for the offence includes life imprisonment.
Recall that the families of the dead and wounded participants of the ATO and of the revolution of Dignity will give the housing 330 million UAH.
