President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has dismissed Yegor Bozhko from the post of head of the foreign intelligence Service (SVR) of the country. This is stated in the decree, published Thursday on the website of the President.

“Fire God of Yegor V. from the post of Chairman of the foreign intelligence Service of Ukraine”, – the document says. The reason for the dismissal of the official is not specified.

Bozhko was appointed head of the SVR in September 2017. Prior to that, from June 2015, he was the head of the mission of Ukraine to NATO. Bozhko also worked in the Department of arms control and military-technical cooperation of the Central office of the Ukrainian foreign Ministry, says RBC.

When assigning Bozhko head of intelligence on the President of Ukraine said that the change of leadership in the RAF will contribute to the development of the military. He said that he knows Bozhko “for a long time as a patriot, determined, professional individual who has vast experience working abroad,” writes “Komsomolskaya Pravda”.

March 13 the President of Ukraine dismissed from his post of chief of the security Service in Sumy oblast of Wladyslaw Kosinski. The reason for the dismissal was not specified.

And in early March Petro Poroshenko has dismissed the first Deputy Secretary of national security and defense of Oleg Gladkovsky. Also it was removed from the post of Chairman of the Interdepartmental Commission on policy of military-technical cooperation and export control.

The reason for the dismissal was the corruption scandal that emerged after a journalistic investigation about the involvement of the Gladkovsky and his son Igor to the financial schemes. According to him, according to journalists, defense enterprises of Ukraine contraband was supplied by Russian part or parts of the Ukrainian military units at prices inflated two to four times.

After the publication of the powers of the Gladkovsky on his post was suspended. Poroshenko demanded to check the data on the possible involvement of Deputy Secretary to corruption. Gladkovsky himself rejected the allegations and also called on the Chief military Prosecutor’s office and the National anti-corruption Bureau to conduct its own review.
