On the South-Ukrainian NPP’s third power unit was disconnected from the grid for maintenance work.

“To address the comments on the electrical equipment of the main circuit, the third power unit it is southern-the Ukrainian nuclear power plant disconnected from the grid. Transients of shutdown of the power unit of violations of conditions and limits of safe operation was not,” — said in a statement.
It is noted that the radiation situation at the nuclear power station complies with safety standards. The radiation background at the industrial site is at the level of natural background values.
Earlier, the head of the energy Committee of the Ukrainian Parliament Andriy Gerus reported the shutdown of a nuclear unit 3 of the Rovno NPP. Later he was again connected to the grid.
