KIEV. April 19. UNN. Passengers on a Southwest Airlines plane whose engine exploded in the air, called a true character of its pilot, who after the accident, successfully executed an emergency landing. About this UNN reports citing BBC Ukraine.

Tammy Jo Schultz was the commander of the aircraft, which on Tuesday served as a flight from new York to Dallas, but was forced to land in Philadelphia.

About 20 minutes after Boeing rose in the air, engine parts struck the fuselage, with the result that the Board has sharply reduced the pressure and the plane began to fall.

The wreckage of the engine broke one of the Windows, which is partly sucked the woman who sat next to me. Other passengers managed to pull her back aboard, but later the victim is still dead.

The victim was 43-year-old Jennifer Riordan, who worked as a Bank Manager for Wells Fargo in Albuquerque, new Mexico. She is survived by two children.

Seven of the passengers were injured, but an emergency landing was successful.

The exact cause of the accident has not been determined, but representatives of the National Council for transport safety (NTSB) reported that investigators found signs of metal fatigue in one of the broken blades of the engine.

It is reported that Schultz spent 10 years in the composition of the naval forces of the United States, where he was a fighter pilot.
