The Russian champion of Bellator light heavyweight champion Vadim Nemkov commented on his title defense in a fight with American Phil Davis.
“Nothing changed compared to the first fight with Davis. The task was to work in the rack, interrupt, and defend against transfers. Everything turned out, the fight is happy, however, was a failure I’ve been preparing for this battle as a 25-minute fight: Phil’s hard to knock out, so tried to distribute power to all five rounds”, — quotes the words Nemcova RIA Novosti.
For Nemkova this protection was the first part of Bellator. Now he has 13 wins and two defeats in MMA.
The battle took place in the framework of the Grand Prix quarterfinal of the organization. In the semifinals, the Russians will spend the next title defense against the winner of the battle between the Cuban Yoel Romero and U.S. representative Anthony Johnson.
