KIEV. April 15. UNN. Swiss chemical laboratory in Spitz said he did not doubt that the former double spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter Julia was poisoned with a substance “Newbie”. So the laboratory in his Twitter responded to the statement of the foreign Minister of Russia Sergey Lavrov that Skrobala poisoned by the chemical BZ, which was adopted by the USA and the UK, reports UNN.

“Only the OPCW (Organization for the prohibition of chemical weapons – ed.) can comment on this statement. But we can repeat what we said 10 days ago: we have no doubt that the Porton Down has identified a “Newbie”. Porton Down, like Spitz, is a laboratory designated by the OPCW. Review standards are so stringent that the findings can be trusted”, – stated in the message.

As reported UNN, on Saturday, the Russian foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that experts from the Swiss lab radiological and chemical and biological analysis in Spitz, who studied samples of the OPCW with the poisonings in Salisbury, has determined that for poisoning Skripal was used the substance BZ, which was adopted by the USA and the UK.

We will remind, on March 4, former GRU officer Sergey Skripal and his daughter Julia was found unconscious with poisoning by an unknown substance on a bench in a shopping centre in the British city of Salisbury. Prime Minister Theresa may said that Skripal and his daughter was poisoned nervously-paralytic substance developed in Russia.

Only OPCW can comment this assertion. But we can repeat what we stated 10 days ago: We have no doubt that Porton Down has identified Novichock. PD – like Spiez – is a designated lab of the OPCW. The standards in verification are so rigid that one can trust the findings. #Skipal pic.twitter.com/3xp3dBFAdP
