In Ukraine there can be a “pilot of a light aircraft”
This step aims to ensure that people operating these types of ships could emerge from the shadows
The state aviation service of Ukraine is working on the introduction of a new category of pilots “the pilot of a light aircraft”.
This was stated by the head of the state aviation administration Alexander Belchuk, speaking on 18 October at the IV International aviation conference “Aerocongress-2017”, reports DTN.
“Aviation of Ukraine will be a new concept. Now we have PPL (private pilot license) and CPL (commercial pilot license), will appear LAPL – light aircraft pilot licence, a licensed pilot of light aircraft. This step aims to ensure that people operating these types of ships could come out of the shadows, obtain documents and to fly legally,” said Alexander Belchuk.
According to the head of the SAS, in addition to the introduction of the new concept that regulation implies the introduction of new requirements for certification of educational institutions that prepare pilots and simulators used in the learning process.
