KIEV. July 27. UNN. The Pentagon will make a list of prohibited purchase the software to block providers using source code created in Russia or China. This was said on Friday, the official of the Ministry of defense responsible for procurement, reports UNN with reference to Reuters.
According to media reports, the Deputy Minister of defense for procurement and provision of arms Ellen Lord said that the Pentagon for six months working on a black list of software vendors.
The purpose of the list, she said, is to help Agency staff responsible for procurement, and partners in the industry to avoid buying dubious codes for the Pentagon and suppliers.
“We are trying to prevent the purchase of software, for example, Russian or Chinese origin, and often from the first glance it is difficult to determine the source due to holding companies”, – said the Lord.
In her words, has “identified a number of companies that do not adhere to our standards in the field of defense.”
After identifying these companies are placed in the list, which will be shown to the employees of the Pentagon responsible for procurement.
