KIEV. May 5. UNN. 4 may on vacation in Chernivtsi while swimming in a precarious place in the Prut river killed 23-year-old citizen of India. It is reported by UNN with reference to the Department gschs of Ukraine in Chernivtsi region.
“This morning around 10:00 a body of a man was found in the river by divers for 50-70 meters from the place of the jump. The body of a drowned man was brought to the surface. It will be sent for forensic examination to establish the exact cause of death,” – stated in the message.
4 may in the city of Chernivtsi during the holidays on the river Prut were missing a citizen of India, born in 1995. The young man studied at the Chernivtsi medical University. Together with friends he rested on the river, in a precarious position, and decided to dive with illegally equipped jumping. He jumped into the water and emerged.
To search for the student on the scene directed rescuers Management SSES of Ukraine and the Chernivtsi city divers of the rescue service on the water. On the same day, rescuers surveyed the scene and the area next, but the missing man was not found. Despite the late time of the day, it was decided to continue search operations on 5 may.
To prevent tragic accidents during the stay of people in the water, rescuers remind: before the official opening of the bathing season in the region illegally swimming in ponds and rivers is prohibited.
Travelers are advised to swim only in areas where lifeguards are on duty who can come to the rescue in case of danger.
