In Russia militiamen were sentenced to probation for torture

KIEV. 27 Dec. UNN. In the Russian Tatarstan Republic two the district was awarded a conditional prison terms for torture. It is reported by UNN with reference to Idel.Realities.

Leninogorsk city court found the district officers of police Vitaly Mustafin and albert Samigullina guilty in “excess of office powers with application of violence”. Law enforcement officers received suspended sentences – 5 years and 4 years respectively.

It is noted that Mustafin and Samigullin by force forced the disabled to confess to the theft of tiles from the facade of a local shop – he was beaten at the police station.
