In Poltava, the police officials detained for extortion of a bribe

KIEV. 29 Dec. UNN. Today, December 29, operatives of Department of counteraction to bribery of Department of protection of economy of the National police detained the official-a corrupt official in one of the local restaurants of Poltava during receiving part of illegal benefit of 220 thousand hryvnias. It is reported by UNN citing the website of national police of Ukraine.
“Chief specialist of the gas industrial control “Poltavagazdobycha” had the leverage to implement artificial barriers to economic activity. If the entrepreneur wants without hindrance to perform the work under the contract and receive funds for their implementation, it is necessary to provide 220 thousand hryvnias “rollback”, – reported on the website of the press service of NPU.
Police seized 50 thousand hryvnias received by the offender as part of the improper benefits.
“The detained official is charged with committing a criminal offense under part 3 St. 368 (acceptance of an offer, promise or obtaining illegal benefit by the official) Criminal code of Ukraine”, – added on the NPU website.
Currently held urgent investigative actions, the defendant is detained as article 208 Criminally-the procedural code of Ukraine.
