Today, November 20, the Kiev district court of Odessa extended the arrest of three foreigners – citizens of Georgia, suspected in the assassination of a famous public man, the leader of the city organization of the party “people’s Force” Oleg Mikhailik.

As reported the UNIAN in a press-service of the court, the district court received a request to law enforcement authorities about prolongation of term of preliminary investigation in criminal proceedings on the fact of attempted murder.

Having considered the petition, the court extended the term of pre-trial investigation to 4 months, i.e. until 24 January 2019.

As reported the UNIAN, on September 22 in the center of Odessa on Mikhailik was assassinated. He received a penetrating gunshot wound to the shoulder and thorax area.

At the moment, the police are considering several versions of the assassination attempt on activist. In particular, one of them is connected with the public activities Mikhailik, the second with the construction of the residential complex “Gold coast” third – market “Success”.

On September 25, the Prosecutor of Odessa region Oleg Zhuchenko announced the arrest of three suspects in the assassination of the activist, which 27 September, the court ruled to arrest without the right of bail.

September 28, the police said that the detained three citizens of Georgia are members of an ethnic organized criminal group. According to the defense, one of them Tornike Agladze (Gerasin) – has a disability the first group.

15 August in Odessa was held the meeting of the first Deputy head of the national police Vyacheslav Abroskin and the Consul of Georgia in Odessa of Tornike, Berekashvili, who asked him to pay attention to the health of the suspect, Agladze.

Abroskin has promised that all the necessary medical examinations will be conducted.
