In Odessa region detained the driver who hit a five-year cyclist

KIEV. March 26. UNN. In Odessa region the drunk driver of VAZ knocked down a five year old boy on a Bicycle and fled the scene. It is reported by UNN citing the press service of the police of Odessa region.
The event took place on March 24 at about 15:00 on the streets of the village Novohryhorivka of the Nikolaev area.
“Previously it is established that the driver sat behind the wheel drunk, lost control, knocked down (five-year – ed.) of the child who was riding on the side of the bike, and went in the direction of Shiryaevo district, where”, – is spoken in the message.
Victim in serious condition was hospitalized instantly, he is now in one of the Odessa hospitals.
With the help of witnesses, law enforcement officers found signs of the car of the offender and find out the direction of movement.
“28-year-old man was arrested in his native village of Shiryaevo in the area and brought to the local police Department. According to the results of the medical examination, he was in a state of alcoholic intoxication”, – stated in the message.
On this fact data are brought in the Unified register of pre-trial investigations under part 2 of article 286 (violation of traffic safety or transport operation by the persons operating vehicles) the criminal code of Ukraine. In proceedings appointed a number of examinations. The offender is detained as article 208 Criminally-the procedural code of Ukraine. The investigation continues.
