KIEV. July 27. UNN. In Odessa, the culprit, who was left for dead two pedestrians knocked down, sentenced to 9 years imprisonment. This was reported by the press service of the Prosecutor of the Odessa region, reports UNN.
“Man found guilty in the Commission of a fatal accident and failure to assist victims (part 3 of article 286, part 1 of article 135 of the criminal code of Ukraine). The culprit is sentenced to 9 years imprisonment. In addition, the court sentenced to 3 years deprived of the right to drive vehicles”, – stated in the message.
Found that night in March 2017 27-year-old driver is faulty “VAZ-21074” on the road “Ovidiopol-petrodolyns’ke” brought down two pedestrians on the edge of the carriageway. From the injuries the 20-year-old and 15-year-old boys died on the scene.
Committing the accident, the driver fled the scene and left a pedestrian helpless, although he could provide them with assistance. The results of the examination showed the presence of alcohol in his blood.
We will remind, the military received a harsh sentence for an accident with death of 3 people due to drunkenness.
As reported UNN, the Cabinet will apply systematic measures against an accident.
