KIEV. March 8. UNN. The number of people infected with coronavirus in France increased to 949 people. This was reported on Saturday at a press conference in Paris by the Director-General of health of the country jérôme Salomon, reports UNN.

“At the moment in the country 949 confirmed cases of infection with coronavirus in the last 24 hours it was discovered 336 new cases,” said Salomon. According to him, the number of deaths from a disease caused by a novel coronavirus, or provoked by a deterioration in other pathologies is 16 people.

Salomon also pointed out that 45 people is now in intensive care. According to the BFMTV, the President of France Emmanuel macron intends to collect the Council on combating the spread of the coronavirus on Sunday at 18:00 local time (19:00 Kiev time).

On Saturday afternoon it was reported 716 confirmed cases of infection in France and about 11 dead.
