In Berlin today, 11 December, held a meeting of advisers to the leaders of the “Normandy format” (Ukraine, Germany, France and Russia) on the situation in the Kerch Strait and the Azov sea.

This became known from diplomatic sources.

As UNIAN reported earlier, on December 1, the representative of the German government Steffen Seibert told reporters that Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel and President of Russia Vladimir Putin during a meeting at the summit of “Big twenty” in Buenos Aires agreed to hold talks on the situation in the Azov sea in the Normandy format at the level of advisers.

2 Dec the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko in an interview with France 24 said that Ukraine will take part in the meeting of the Normandy format at the level of political advisers to de-escalate the situation.

“This proposal was previously agreed with me as the President of Ukraine during a telephone conversation with Chancellor of Germany, and we will definitely take part in the meeting of the Normandy format at the level of political counselors, which we put an urgent question – the requirement to Russia to bring our military ships access to the Strait of Kerch”, – said Poroshenko in response to the question whether Ukraine is ready to discuss the situation in Normandy format at the level of advisers reported German Chancellor Angela Merkel.

Help the UNIAN reports, the morning of November 25, Russia blocked the passage in the Kerch Strait the Ukrainian tugboat “Yana Kapu” two boats “Berdyansk” and “Nikopol”, which carried out a planned transition from the port of Odessa to the port of Mariupol.

The invaders captured Ukrainian soldiers 24. Three of them were injured.
