Today, 2 January, Germany will strike collectors, which may lead to shortage of cash in ATMs. About this reports Deutsche Welle.

It is noted that the initiator of the strike was the Union Verdi, at the call to protest can join 12 thousand workers associated with the turnover of cash and securities.

The main demand of the Union is to increase the salaries of collectors for 250 euros per month. In addition, representatives of Verdi stated the need in the next two years to equalize the salaries of collectors in the East (1800-2400 euros) and Western (2200-2900 euros) of Germany.

Begun on Wednesday the strike may result in serious problems for banks and stores, as deserted during the holidays, the ATMs will not be replenished in cash.

At the same time, the sectoral Union of employers stated that the cash flow will not be interrupted, and the cash deficit of the country in the coming days, not threatened, because the new year’s eve in the ATMs was taken money.

It is expected that negotiations with the protesters employers will continue this week.
