Electricity imports from Belarus will stop our nuclear power plants and thermal power plants – expert

KIEV. August 3. UNN. Electricity imports from Belarus will negatively affect the energy sector of Ukraine, because it will lead to a stop of work of nuclear power plants and thermal power plants. This opinion in comments to UNN was expressed by the expert of the energy sector Yuri Korolchuk.

“We have surplus capacity, we can produce electricity for their needs sufficiently, and the import of electricity has a negative impact overall on the grid, as you have to stop the operation of NPP and TPP. Rise to financial failures, very few earn fossil and nuclear power plants,” – said Korolchuk.

In addition, according to experts, imports will affect miners, because the work of TES is directly connected with the mines, so they also suspend their work.
